Flamenco Vivo brings dance to local students in Saratoga Springs
Saratoga Springs is alive with the art of flamenco!
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Saratoga Springs is alive with the art of flamenco! More than 800 students from seven local school districts learned the art directly from Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, one of the most prominent flamenco dance companies in the United States.
Presentations were held Thursday at the Spa Little Theater. It was part of the company's week-long residency at SPAC ahead of their world premiere performance.
"The Spa Little Theatre allows us to bring in companies, not just for artistic purposes but for educational experiences, for students of all ages, and that's why we're here today," VP of Education at SPAC Dennis Moench said.
The company's new work, Quinto Elemento, premieres at 7 p.m. on Saturday at SPAC.
