Fire Spreads from Garage, Damages Mira Mesa Home, Neighboring Residence
It took crews about 20 minutes Wednesday to subdue a late-morning fire that damaged two Mira Mesa homes.
It took crews about 20 minutes Wednesday to subdue a late-morning fire that damaged two Mira Mesa homes.
The blaze erupted for unknown reasons shortly after 9 a.m. in the 8100 block of Torrell Way, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Emergency crews arrived to find an attached residential garage engulfed in flames. The fire spread into the living quarters and attic of the single-story home and damaged the exterior of a neighboring house before firefighters gained control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
