Fire in Albany leaves one dog dead
A fire broke out in Albany on Thursday night at a residential building.
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A fire broke out in a residential building in Albany on Thursday night. According to Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory, the address was on Stephen Street, and the call came in at 10:34 p.m.
The fire department was on scene four minutes later. The fire chief says they were able to get the fire under control by 10:53 p.m.
NEWS10 was on the scene and confirmed that one dog died as a result of the fire. Two other dogs were taken away from the scene but their condition is unknown at this time.
Fortunately, no other injuries have been reported at this time. The fire remains under investigation.
