Fire breaks out at Buddhist temple in San Francisco's Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Crews are responding to a fire at a Buddhist temple Tuesday evening in the Mission District, the San Francisco Fire Department said. More than a dozen firefighters responded to Hua-Zang Si located at 3134 22nd St.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Video (above) shows flames coming out of the side of the main structure of the temple.
People inside the temple appeared to have been evacuated, the video shows. No injuries have been reported at this time, but a few pets were rescued.
At least three SFFD fire trucks were called to the scene in response. As of 6 p.m., the fire is being reported as a second-alarm fire, and SFFD units are still working on extinguishing it.
