Female Hiker Hospitalized After Fall in San Dieguito Lagoon Conservation Area

A call for an open air rescue in the San Dieguito Lagoon conservation area came in to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department at 10:17 a.m. and crews were on the scene 12 minutes later.
“A woman fell while hiking,” said Monica Munoz, SDFD media services manager. “She was transported to Thornton Hospital.”
Thirty personnel responded to the incident including one utility and one rescue vehicle, one helicopter, three engines, one medic, one truck and three battalion chiefs.
