Felon arrested in Sonoma Co. after search warrant finds guns

(KRON) -- A search warrant served Tuesday at a felon’s residence in Sonoma County uncovered a submachine gun along with several other firearms and ammunition, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office, with assistance from the Auto Theft Task Force, served the search warrant in the 1400 block of Sanders Road. Raymond Rochioli, a 55-year-old convicted felon who is prohibited from owning any firearms, was contacted at the residence.
During the search, authorities discovered several firearms, including an Uzi submachine gun, and ammunition, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives also found a 20-foot Interstate trailer, which was reported stolen from Santa Rosa in 2021.
Rochioli was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail for charges of:
- Felon in possession of ammunition
- Possession of an assault rifle
- Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person
- Possession of a short-barreled rifle
- Possession of a stolen vehicle
As of Thursday morning, Rochioli was no longer listed as in custody. Rochioli’s bail was set at $50,000.
