(KRON) -- A fatal crash in Petaluma on Monday afternoon shut down both directions of a local road, California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at about 3:35 p.m. on Point Reyes Petaluma Road. The crash occurred near McEvoy Ranch.
Just one car was involved in the crash. One person has been ruled dead, CHP said.
Point Reyes Petaluma Road is closed in both directions. The cause of the crash is unknown.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and find other routes.
