Fantasy Billboard: Giddy Up! And Whoa Down! for NFL’s Week 15

For better or worse, football will take a back seat for me this Sunday as my second oldest daughter Abby gets married to Colin, a terrific young man. By the time I am walking Abby down the aisle, my Buffalo Bills will be in the first quarter against the Detroit Lions. I am shocked my Bills-loving daughter did not consult the NFL schedule when she booked this date, but such is life. I still love her. Colin is a Giants fan, but I still love him too. I figure it should be easy to convert him to Bills Mafia. I can’t promise I won’t sneak a peek or two at the score during the reception, and hopefully Buffalo will prevail. But if not, our family still wins the day as we gain a great new teammate in Colin, and Abby gains the equivalent of a starting left tackle that will always protect her from onrushing harm. Cheers to a happy life, Abby & Colin!

GIDDY UP!

QB Kirk Cousins (at Raiders) — Can a trip to the desert snap Kirk (four games without a TD pass) out of his scoring drought? I think so. The Raiders have allowed 16 TD passes in their last five games.

QB Jayden Daniels (at Saints) — The Commanders won’t let a floundering Saints team stand in the way of their postseason plans. Daniels has seven combined TDs in his last two games while carrying Washington’s hopes on his back.

RB Derrick Henry (at Giants) — Congrats if you had Henry this season. He will tattoo the Giants, who give up more yards (29th in NFL) than JOANN Fabrics.

RB Josh Jacobs (vs. Seahawks) — Josh can lead you to a Fantasy championship with back-to-back games against the Seahawks and Saints. Enjoy the ride.

WR Puka Nacua (vs. 49ers) — Don’t be a palooka, start Nacua. He’s has been nothing short of amazing with 50 catches in his last seven games and racking up 156 Fantasy points in the process.

WR Tyreek Hill (at Texans) — Houston is getting worse at pass defense. If no-name WRs KaVontae Turpin and Parker Washington can torch the Texans (9 receptions, 189 yards, 2 TDs), Tyreek is money in the bank.

TE Kyle Pitts (at Raiders) — With two receptions in his last three games, you’d have to be crazy to start Pitts, right? Well call me crazy because the Raiders have given up almost 100 yards a game to TEs the last six weeks.

WHOA DOWN!

QB C.J. Stroud (vs. Dolphins) — Thanks to the Jets, the Fins are still swimming in the playoff pool. Stroud has just five TDs in his last seven games and now must face Miami’s No. 1 pass defense.

QB Jalen Hurts (vs. Steelers) — Only one QB has had more than 20 points against the Steelers (Joe Burrow with 24). Hurts is usually solid, but don’t expect a game-changing performance in the “Battle of Pennsylvania.”

RB James Cook (at Lions) — When the Bills fell behind the Rams last week, Cook was game scripted out of the contest. I fear a similar scenario this Sunday on the fast carpet in Detroit.

RB D’Andre Swift (at Vikings) — Swift has looked anything but swift. The Vikes held him to 30 yards on the ground in Week 12. History will repeat itself. Find a better replacement if you can.

WR Deebo Samuel (vs. Rams) — Deebo hasn’t topped 12 points in any game since Week 6. It’s hard to trust him with your season on the line.

WR Josh Palmer (vs. Bucs) — Palmer had his best game of the year (6 catches, 78 yards) in place of injured WR Ladd McConkey. If the little Ladd (knee, check status) is back this week, Palmer reverts to WR4 status.

TE Cade Otton (at Chargers) — From Weeks 7-9, Otton had 25 receptions for 258 yards. In Weeks 12-14, he had eight for 120. Chargers have allowed one TD to tight ends all year.

Thursday Night Special: The 49ers are favored by two points and are getting healthier on defense, but the Rams seemed like a team on a mission against the Bills last week. Take L.A. and the points. Rams 27, 49ers 21
