False report of an active shooter made near Thornton schools
Thornton police are investigating what they say is a false report of an active shooter in the 9400 block of Hoffman Way.
DENVER (KDVR) -- Thornton police are investigating what they say is a false report of an active shooter in the 9400 block of Hoffman Way.
This is the block where Thornton Middle School is located, as well as the Sierra Vista Apartments, which are across the street.
Thornton High School, Thornton Elementary School and FutureForward Bollman are all located nearby and were placed in secure status when the threat was reported, according to an email forwarded to FOX31.
FOX31 has a photojournalist on the way to the school to learn more about what is happening.
