Fall foliage season dampened by recent weather trends

ST. LOUIS - Late last week, fall colors were really starting to pop across the region. But now, things are looking a little gloomy.

While we've had ideal fall day and night temperatures for colorful autumn foliage, the recent weather trends over the last two weeks have dampened what should have been peak color.

It's also important to note that there are still a few plants, like the ginkgo's, which show great golden color, that are just starting to change. So, there are still some plants entering their peak time.
