EMS responds to reports of tunnel collapse, 1 person injured
One person was possibly injured in what may have been a tunnel collapse Wednesday morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person was injured in what may have been a tunnel collapse Wednesday morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
ATCEMS posted on X at 9:56 a.m. that medics and Austin Fire Department firefighters were on the scene of a reported tunnel collapse with one patient involved.
The post said it was near 8709 N. Interstate 35 Service Road northbound, which is close to Park Plaza Drive.
ATCEMS said the patient was extricated from the tunnel by firefighters and transported to St. David's North Austin Medical Center with non-life-threatening medical complaints.
