Dual café and bookstore in Schenectady closing down
December 29 will be the last day of food and drink operations.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Novel BIBLIO•BREW, a coffee bar, eatery, and small bookstore in Schenectady, is closing down by the end of the year. The owners announced the closure on Wednesday.
The café opened in place of Puzzles Bakery & Café in 2023 at 515 State Street. It has food, drinks, books, gifts, and other goods.
The business said it is looking for interested parties to assume ownership of the business and all its assets. Anyone interested can email helllo@novelbibliobrew.com to discuss.
The café's hours will now be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, effective immediately. Used books will no longer be accepted and November 30 will be the last day of alcohol sales.
Novel BIBLIO•BREW has also planned a late-night karaoke party on Saturday, November 30 to help things end on a high note. December 29 will be the last day of food and drink operations.
