Dodgers-Yankees World Series a ratings bonanza for FOX

As expected, the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees has been a ratings magnet so far through the first two games. The Dodgers and Yankees, two of the most storied and popular franchises in the league, drew the best ratings in years in Games 1 and 2 since 2017.

Through the first two games of the series, the Dodgers and Yankees are averaging 14.5 million viewers per game across all networks, per FOX Sports PR. This is the most viewers to start the World Series since 2017 when the Dodgers took on the Houston Astros. Game 2 of the World Series drew 13.8 million viewers.

The Dodgers and Yankees have provided viewers with two exciting games to start the World Series, which should only encourage fans to keep tuning in. Game 1 of the World Series got off to a slow start as neither team scored until the fifth inning. The Dodgers struck first with a run in the fifth inning before the Yankees drove in two during the sixth inning. The Dodgers tied up the game in the eighth inning, and neither team scored in the ninth, forcing extra innings.
