Krishnavamshi, Vinayak, Puri Jagannath, Srinuvaitla, Surender Reddy… all these once set new standards for commercial cinema. They are the ones who showed a new way to Telugu cinema which was going in a mold till then. But now things have changed. These top directors, who could not update themselves according to the audience’s taste, are now waiting for a single hit.

Many years have passed since Krishnavamshi and Vinayak gave a hit movie. The audience also forgot what was their last hit. After one or two attempts for success in the middle, they did not work out, so is there a chance for them to get back into form..? Doubts are being raised.

Similar is the situation of Srinuvaitla, Puri Jagannath and Surender Reddy. Once a carafe of commercial hits, these directors are now struggling to find success. Despite making successive invasions, positive response is not coming from the audience. However, on their part, they are struggling to please the audience with a movie.

Analysts say that it is not possible to think that they have failed as much as they are currently in failures. Critics say that it is not difficult to bounce back if the right combo is set. But that combo is difficult to set.

Presently, seeing the form of these directors, there is no situation for star heroes to give dates. No hero is free enough to give dates to anyone who wants to give dates with an old acquaintance. Will our directors get out of this situation? Let’s wait and see.
