Developing: Large police presence along Highway A in Jefferson County

FESTUS, Mo. -- There is a large police presence near South Mill Street and Veterans Boulevard (Highway A) in Festus, Missouri. Two pickup trucks are in the center of the road, and an ambulance is on the scene. There are also police vehicles near Highway A at Gannon Drive.
There appear to be two nearby unconnected crime scenes under investigation. An officer-involved shooting near the Aldi Store and a police chase from Arnold, Missouri. Police say that the public is not at risk and the officer is OK.
Jefferson County Police plan on holding a press conference to discuss the details of the situation Sunday. This is a developing story. More details will be posted here when they come into the FOX 2 Newsroom.
