(KTLA) – An Oscar-winning actor is making his way to Wakanda.

While Marvel hasn't officially confirmed another "Black Panther" movie, Denzel Washington revealed he's going to be a part of the project.

During a press tour promoting "Gladiator II," Denzel told Australia's Channel 9 entertainment anchor Richard Wilkins that "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler is writing a part just for him.

The film will be one of the "Training Day" actor's final films before he retires.

“For me, it’s about the filmmakers. Especially, at this point in my career, I am only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make," he explained. "It’s probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done."

Washington then listed his upcoming projects, which include a film version of William Shakespeare's "Othello," a Steve McQueen project, and Antoine Fuqua's Netflix film about the Carthaginian warrior Hannibal.

“I played 'Othello' at 22; I’m now going to play it at 70,” he explained. “After that, I’m playing 'Hannibal.' After that, I’ve been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next 'Black Panther.'”

While moviegoers await the third installment of the "Black Panther" franchise, fans can see Washington in "Gladiator II," which hits theaters on Nov. 22.
