DENVER (KDVR) — Snow showers with chilly temperatures and brisk winds will linger for most of Wednesday across Colorado in the Denver weather forecast.
Weather today: Snow showers
The snow will continue through the first half of the day Wednesday, and it will taper off during the afternoon and evening.
Snow will linger over the plains and in southern Colorado during the evening and early overnight hours.
Winds will be breezy Wednesday afternoon at 10-20 mph as skies remain cloudy. Temperatures will stay chilly in the lower 30s.
With slick roads expected, it is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day as another 1-5 inches of snow is expected.
Winter weather advisories are in effect until 11 p.m. Wednesday night for Denver and the foothills. The winter storm warnings are in effect until 5 a.m. Thursday for the Palmer Divide and Eastern Plains.
Weather tonight: Cloudy skies
Snow wraps up for the most part with cloudy skies overnight. Low temperatures will dip into the upper teens and lower 20s, meaning Denver could see some re-freezing on the roads.
Looking ahead: More snow into the weekend
Thursday brings back another round of some light snow with highs in the upper 30s. Snow will linger in the southern half of the state on Thursday afternoon and into Friday, keeping temperatures cooler.
Friday starts dry in the metro, but snow and rain push north by the afternoon with more snow expected in the afternoon. Highs on Friday will also be cool in the lower 40s.
Snow continues overnight and into the first half of Saturday with accumulating snow expected again.
Sunshine is possible later on Saturday with highs in the middle 40s.
Sunny skies return on Sunday afternoon with seasonal highs in the upper 50s.
Monday also has plenty of sunshine with mild highs in the upper 50s. A few clouds push in for Tuesday with high temperatures in the middle 50s.
