Weather today: Slick roads, cold
Temperatures stay very chilly on Sunday, and we'll be starting out in the teens before making our way only to the middle to upper 20s. If you plan on going to the Broncos game, make sure to wear layers along with hats and gloves.
Meanwhile, areas in the northern mountains will see another couple of inches of snow throughout the day. Steamboat Springs will see an additional 2-5 inches into Monday.
Weather tonight: Cloudy with snow
Mostly cloudy skies will continue to dominate the area Sunday night into Monday, with lows dropping into the middle teens. There could be an inch or two of snow overnight as well.
2024 was one of Denver’s warmest years on record
Looking ahead: Extended cold weather
Another chance for snow will arrive Tuesday, which may be one of the coldest days of the winter season so far, with highs only in the 20s. We could see a couple of inches of snow on Tuesday, which is why the Pinpoint Weather team has a Watch Box on the seven-day forecast.
Temperatures look set to stay in the 30s through at least next Thursday before returning to the lower 40s.
