DENVER (KDVR) — Many art-based communities participate in events known as "First Friday Art Walks."
This Friday, the Access Gallery, located at 909 Santa Fe Drive, will be displaying the work of over 40 artists with disabilities. The gallery will be held at the Holiday Market and all of the art will be available for purchase.
The culmination of a year's worth of art creation, the gallery will feature plenty of art pieces that may make the perfect gift for the holiday season. Artists have spent their time creating paintings, drawings, ceramics, jewelry and many more pieces of unique art.
All proceeds from the purchased art can either go directly to the artists themselves or can be reinvested into the Access Gallery. The gallery is a nonprofit in the Arts District on Santa Fe that creates opportunities for artists with disabilities to showcase their work.
The Access Gallery Holiday Market will open on Friday, Dec. 6 and last through Saturday, Dec. 21. On Dec. 20 artists, staff and the community will hold a celebration from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The gallery is open to the public and free to enter. More information on the event can be found on the Access Gallery website.
