Police are searching for a pair of armed robbers who shot a man in the head and then grabbed his cash in the Bronx earlier this month.
Surveillance photos released Thursday show the alleged thieves who held the victim at gunpoint on E. 138th St. and Brook Ave. in Mott Haven around 5:45 p.m. Oct. 13.
The suspects struck the 35-year-old victim with the firearm before firing one round that struck him on the right side of his head, said police.
Despite the bullet penetrating the victim’s skull, the man was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
The crooks took the suspect’s wallet and cash. They were last seen fleeing east on E. 138th St. in an SUV, according to law enforcement.
Anyone with information that could lead police to the suspects are asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stopper’s Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS.
