(KRON) -- A traffic stop in Concord last week sparked a police investigation that uncovered firearms, narcotics and a large amount of cash from a driver “with a history of felony convictions,” the Concord Police Department announced Tuesday.
During the traffic stop, Concord officers smelled marijuana and saw it in plain view inside the vehicle, according to police. Authorities said a search turned up two loaded firearms, prescription drugs, marijuana and cocaine packaged for sale. Also located was nearly $10,000 in cash.
Concord police detectives obtained a search warrant for the driver’s residence and uncovered the following:
- Two additional firearms, including a fully automatic weapon
- Nearly half a pound of cocaine
- Nearly 200 oxycodone pills
- 40 pounds of marijuana
- Prescription codeine syrup
- More than $12,000 in cash
The driver was arrested on firearms and narcotics charges, Concord PD said.
