President — The national results may not be known for days, but San Diego County is backing Kamala Harris by 60.2% to Donald Trump’s 37.4%.
U.S. Senate — The Associated Press has projected that Adam Schiff will defeat Steve Garvey, who is trailing 40.2% to 59.8%.
Congress — Incumbents are leading across the board, with Mike Levin at 54.4% to Matt Gunderson’s 45.6% in the closest race, and higher margins in the four others. Darrell Issa has 59.4%, Sara Jacobs 59.6%, Scott Peters 63.7% and Juan Vargas 64.8%.
State Senate — Akilah Weber appears headed for a runaway victory with 61.5% of the early vote.
State Assembly — In the bitterly contested race for the 75th District, Carl DeMaio leads Andrew Hayes 60.8% to 39.2%. In the 76th District, Darshana Patel leads Kristie Bruce-Lane 52.85% to 47.15%. And in the 77th District, LaShae Sharp-Collins leads Colin Parent by 52.4% to 47.6%. Incumbents Laurie Davies, Tasha Boerner and David Alvarez have leads of over 60% in their races, while Chris Ward is unopposed.
County Supervisor — In the close District 3 race, incumbent Terra Lawson-Remer leads Kevin Faulconer by 56.7% to 43.3%, while incumbents Joel Anderson and Nora Vargas are well ahead in their races with 62.0% and 62.8% respectively.
San Diego Mayor — Incumbent Todd Gloria is leading Larry Turner by 55.7% to 44.3% in the early vote.
San Diego City Attorney — Heather Ferbert has taken an early lead over Brian Maienschein, 56.1% to 43.9%.
San Diego City Council — Incumbents Sean Elo-Rivera and Stephen Whitburn are both ahead with leads of 58.4% and 61.3% respectively.
Chula Vista City Council — In District 3, Michael Inzunza leads Leticia Munguia 70.85% to 29.15%. And in District 4, Cesar Fernandez is ahead with 57.6% to Rudy Ramirez’s 42.4%.
Measure E — The one-cent sales tax for infrastructure improvements in the city of San Diego is losing at 51.3% no to 48.7% yes.
Measure G — The half-cent county sales tax for transportation improvements is losing at52.6% no to 47.4% yes.
Proposition 32 — A higher state minimum wage is losing 51.8% no to 48.2% yes
Proposition 33 — Statewide rent control is losing 62.4% no to 37.6% yes.
Proposition 36 — Stricter sentencing for drug and retail crimes is ahead at 70.6% yes to 29.4% no.
