Colonie police identify alleged Trustco bank robber
The Colonie Police Department has identified the man suspected of robbing a Trustco Bank in Latham on Wednesday. The suspect was captured with the help of K-9 Officer Eddie.
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Colonie Police Department has identified the man suspected of robbing a Trustco Bank in Latham on Wednesday. The suspect was captured with the help of K-9 Officer Eddie.
Christian Aquino, 18, of Saratoga, allegedly entered the bank wearing a mask, pointed a gun at the teller, and demanded money. He then fled on foot. Police said K-9 Eddie found Aquino in a nearby wooded area with the stolen cash.
Charges
- First-degree robbery (felony)
- Second-degree grand larceny (felony)
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (misdemeanor)
