Cold start Wednesday leads to comfortable highs

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Wednesday is another cold morning followed by another mild and sunny afternoon. After lows as cold as the 30s, the afternoon will come along with comfortable highs in the 60s under plentiful sunshine and dry skies.

A freeze warning was issued for Wednesday morning by the National Weather Service for areas of the North Bay valleys, with a frost advisory in effect for the interior East Bay, Santa Clara County valley and eastern Santa Clara County hills. The warning and advisory ends at 10 a.m.

The Bay Area will remain this way through the week before a slightly cooler weekend back down in the 50s. Showers will be possible in the Sierra and Southern California late Saturday into Sunday but the bay is likely to remain dry.

Sunrise in San Francisco is at 7:21 a.m. Sunset is at 5:23 p.m.
