Chicago cop struck by car in South Shore hit-and-run
A Chicago police officer conducting traffic control was hit by a car in a hit-and-run early Friday in South Shore on the South Side. Around 1:30 a.m., the officer was conducting traffic control for a large gathering in the 7500 block of South Phillips Avenue when they were struck in the leg by a white sedan that fled the scene, police said. The officer was treated at the scene and released, officials said. No one was in custody.
