CDTA announces schedule changes for Thanksgiving

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Capital District Transportation Authority will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule on Thanksgiving Day. Regular service will resume on Friday.

Neither the Northway Xpress nor the Thruway Xpress will operate on Thanksgiving. The CDTA sales window will also be closed on Thursday and Friday and will reopen on Monday, Dec. 2.

CDTA also owns and operates the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station in Rensselaer. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead for Thanksgiving travel. CDTA expects parking at the rail station to be at or near capacity. The FLEX+ service can also be utilized to take customers between the station and stops in downtown Albany.
