Cal Fire crews are responding to a brush fire that broke out Friday morning in Fallbrook.
FALLBROOK, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Cal Fire crews are responding to a brush fire that broke out Friday morning in Fallbrook.
The fire — referred to as the Mission Fire — was first reported just after 10 a.m. in the area of Overland Trail and Mission Road.
As of 10:30 a.m., the fire had burned through five acres and destroyed one outbuilding, sending plumes of black smoke overhead. According to Cal Fire, forward progress has been stopped.
No evacuations have been called for nearby areas.
