Cadet man fatally struck by train in Washington County
A 55-year-old Cadet man was killed after being struck by a train while walking on railroad tracks near Mineral Point, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. - A 55-year-old Cadet man was left dead after being struck by a train while walking on railroad tracks near Mineral Point.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred around 4:05 p.m. Thursday afternoon on railroad tracks east of West Commerical Street and north of Williams Circle near Mineral Point.
MSHP officials say the man was walking on the railroad tracks and was struck by the front left side of the train while it was traveling northbound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to MSHP
