Sleep Number Corp., a Minneapolis-based maker and retailer of specialty beds and mattresses, announced that Shelly Ibach plans to retire as chair, president and chief executive officer no later than the company’s 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The company also announced that its board unanimously agreed to appoint Michael Harrison as independent chair following the 2025 Annual Meeting. Ibach has led the company for 12 years.

AIRPORTS

The Metropolitan Airports Commission announced it has selected David Morrisette as assistant director for strategic marketing. Morrisette most recently was managing director of digital experience at Minneapolis creative agency Yamamoto. MAC owns and operates Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and six general aviation airports in the Twin Cities region.

EDUCATION

Asmah Tareen has joined the Concordia College board of regents. Tareen is a Concordia graduate and attended the University of Minnesota Law School. She is a partner in the Technology and Data Group at Fredrikson, Minneapolis, which made the announcement. Concordia College is in Moorhead, Minn.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Associated Banc-Corp announced the appointment of Phillip Trier as executive vice president, head of Corporate and Commercial Banking, based in the Twin Cities. Associated Banc-Corp is based in Green Bay, Wis., and is the 14th largest bank in Minnesota by deposit market share.

Editor & Publisher, a national journalist trade magazine, announced that Amy Lindgren, a St. Paul-based career consultant, has won a 2024 EPPY award in the Best Business/Finance Blog (fewer than 1 million unique visitors) category, for her “Working Strategies” column that appears weekly in the Pioneer Press. Judges noted it “delivers practical, insightful career advice, blending actionable strategies with thoughtful reflections on workplace trends and challenges.”

Patterson Cos. Inc., a Mendota Heights-based national supplier of medial equipment to veterinary and dental practices, announced the appointment of Kristin Dietzler as Patterson Dental’s North American president. Dietzler most recently served as president of Carestream Health’s Americas region. … Lifecore Biomedical, a Chaska-based contract manufacturer of pharmaceutical equipment, announced the appointment of Thomas Guldager as vice president, operations, and the promotion of Jackie Klecker to executive vice president, quality and development services, a newly created position.
