Bronx gunman barricades himself inside apartment after shooting man nearby: NYPD
Cops responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress in which a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg around 6:16 p.m. near the Edenwald Houses in the Bronx.
A gunman shot a man Saturday evening, then barricaded himself inside a Bronx apartment, cops said.
Cops responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress involving a 25-year-old man shot in the leg around 6:16 p.m. near the Edenwald Houses at Laconia Ave. and E. 224th St. in Edenwald.
The victim was transported by EMS to Jacobi Medical Center where he is in stable condition.
The scene was still active Saturday night as NYPD hostage units were trying to determine if the gunman was still inside the apartment.
