Boy, 15, found shot to death in Englewood home
A 15-year-old boy was found shot to death late Tuesday morning inside a home in Englewood on the South Side. The boy was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head about 11:35 a.m. in the home in the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue, Chicago police said. The unidentified boy was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Chicago police are on scene for a 15-year-old boy shot and killed in the 6900 block of South Parnell Avenue. In the parking lot adjacent to the building there were a handful of evidence markers and shell casings visible. Hours after the shooting, the lot and building entrance remained sectioned off with crime tape. Neighbors declined to speak with Sun-Times reporters, and police have not announced any arrests in the case. Area 1 detectives were investigating.
