The Blue Exorcist anime announced the release of season 4’s first cour in a 30-second video. Aniplex also announced the season’s ending theme, “Tsurara” by Yonbahi. According to the entertainment company, Beyond the Snow Saga is the first part of the sequel of the title’s fourth season. The company also stated that the director, Daisuke Yoshida, and screenwriter, Toshiya Ono, are part of the staff involved in the season’s creation.
Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow, Saga announces release date
According to its 30-second trailer, Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow saga will premiere on October 5. Beyond the Saga is reportedly the first cour of the Shimane Illuminati Saga, launched on January 7, 2024, and aired until March 24 after 12 episodes.
The second cour, the Blue Night Saga (Ao no Exorcist: Yosuga -hen), is reportedly set for release in January 2025. Aniplex added that the Beyond the Snow Saga will air on TOKYO MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 starting October 5th.
The anime will also be available on Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting on Tuesdays at 13:55 a.m.
According to the company, Hulu,d-Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hodai will stream the anime every Saturday. Aniplex also revealed that Prime Video, Netflix, and Lemino will stream the anime every Tuesday at noon.
The entertainment management company added that international viewers could also access the anime on Crunchyroll.
The company also revealed the manga’s cast, which included familiar voice actors such as Nobuhiko Okamoto as Rin. Other voice actors are Hiroshi Kamiya, who plays Mephisto Pheles; Ayahi Takagaki, who plays Kuro; Eri Kitamura, who plays Izumo Kamiki; and Kouji Yusa, who plays Renzo Shima.
Aniplex also revealed the staff involved in creating the fourth season. The staff included Series composer Toshiya Oono, Music composer Kohta Yamamoto, Animation Production, Studio VOLN, and chief animation director Yurie Oohigashi.
Blue Exorcist highlights the ending theme in its trailer
The company also revealed the ending theme in Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Saga, Tsurara by Yobahi. According to Reol, the open-score singer, Re Rescue, will also appear in the sequel. The singer added that the open theme song tells the story of the Blue Exorcist while expressing her admiration for the main characters, Yukio and Rin.

The anime, written by Kazue Kato, involves the protagonist, Rin Okamura, and his twin, who fight against Satan, their biological father.
However, the protagonist has to finish his exorcism training at True Cross Academy before engaging in the battle. Rin’s motivation in his quest reportedly comes from his foster father’s death, who died while trying to keep him safe.
Blue Exorcist’s first season launched in 2010, its second season was announced in 2016, and the third was announced in January 2024.
