BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Buffalo staple Big Ditch Brewing Company has announced it will be releasing a non-alcoholic version of its flagship IPA, the Hayburner, called the "NA Burner."
The brewery said the NA Burner is the first non-alcoholic brew canned in Buffalo since Prohibition nearly a century ago.
“Our goal was to produce a beer for a growing collection of customers that wanted
to drink a hoppy and delicious IPA without the effects of alcohol," Big Ditch president and co-founder Matt Kahn said in a release. "We feel we’ve achieved this goal with NA Burner.”
The brewery said the beverage packs "all the hoppy aroma" of the Hayburner into a "refreshingly drinkable non-alcoholic IPA, without sacrificing any of the bold taste."
Kahn said the non-alcoholic beer took two and a half years to research and develop. It is now available in 12-ounce six packs at Big Ditch's tap room in downtown Buffalo, as well as at local craft beer retailers and supermarkets.
