Both directions on the 101 Freeway are closed through downtown Los Angeles Friday morning due to a "behavioral emergency," officials said.
The incident began shortly before 7 a.m. on the North Main Street overpass of the 101 Freeway.
"A female patient on the Main St x 101 Fwy overpass experiencing a behavioral emergency," the Los Angeles Fire Department posted in a news alert.
Motorists were being detoured off the freeway and advised to seek alternate routes.
