Interim head coach Thomas Brown will finish his first week of practices Friday as the Bears prepare to face the 49ers on Sunday in San Francisco.The Bears will hold their practice in the early afternoon Friday and fly west Saturday.In a difficult week, Bears players have been drawn to Brown, who was promoted Friday when coach Matt Eberflus was fired after the team’s sixth consecutive loss. Brown had been the Bears’ pass game coordinator until three games ago, when he was promoted to offensive coordinator to replace Shane Waldron.“I know guys are excited about T.B. and what he brings,” tight end Cole Kmet said Thursday. “Obviously from the offensive side, we’ve seen what he can do for us, kind of leading us the past few weeks. But I know the guys responded well so far to him being the interim head coach up to this point. So we’ve had fun so far this week.
