(KRON) – Thinking about skipping the normal Thanksgiving traditions the year? A Bay Area hotel has recently been named one of the top travel destinations for the holiday.
According to Good Housekeeping, Montage Healdsburg resort is the perfect Thanksgiving getaway. The recipe and product review magazine said the hotel is where “warm hospitality meets the charm and beauty of Sonoma wine country.”
An hour away from Napa, Montage Healdsburg offers cycle tours, hikes and many recreational activities in Wine Country.
Hotel guests seem to have spectator views. According to the Montage Healdsburg website, one-third of each space is dedicated to outdoor living on a balcony or deck.
The price of the hotel stay may be prettier than the rooms. For days near Thanksgiving, a room with a king-size bed with a view of the vineyard is $938. One-bedroom suites cost more than $2,000 a night.
Another California vacation destination Good Housekeeping listed was El Encanto in Santa Barbara.
