Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Landon Pretre, Menlo School cross country
Pretre, a senior, finished in 14:38.8 at the CIF meet on Saturday in Fresno, placing second overall to lead Menlo to a Division V championship.
Menlo School cross country runner Landon Pretre is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Nov. 25-30.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Pretre finished with 47.29% of the vote. Moreau Catholic football player Jalen Arnold finished with 32.46%.

Pretre, a senior, finished in 14:38.8 at the CIF meet on Saturday in Fresno, placing second overall to lead Menlo to a Division V championship, the first in school history. The Knights qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Ore., on Dec. 7 with their team performance.
