Ballston Spa man accused of assaulting police officers
While being detained, Tyrone Myette allegedly struggled and injured two Ballston Spa Police Officers minorly.
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Ballston Spa man is accused of attempting to flee police and assaulting two officers following trying to get inside a dwelling on Grove Street. The Ballston Spa Police Department said Tyrone Myette, 38, also had 206 grams of crystal methamphetamine and over 18 grams of cocaine.

- Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell
- Two counts of second-degree assault with intent to injure a police officer
- Two counts of resisting arrest
- Trespass
The police received a call on Wednesday around 3:15 p.m. from a resident on Grove Street claiming a man was trying to get into a dwelling through a side door. Police said they saw a man matching the given description riding away on an electric scooter before he tried to flee and was apprehended.
While being detained, Myette allegedly struggled and injured two Ballston Spa Police Officers minorly. The officers were treated at the hospital and released.
Myette was arraigned in the Town of Milton Court. He was placed in Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
