LOS ANGELES - Authorities are asking the public for help Wednesday in locating an "at risk" missing 16-year-old and her infant daughter who disappeared in Palmdale.
Antonia Cocom Ajqui was last seen with her 3-month-old daughter Katarina Lucia Chovon Cocom in the 37900 block of San Carlos Way at around noon Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department posted in a special bulletin on X.
Investigators believe Antonia may have been headed to the 300 block of South Westlake Avenue in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles but did not provide any further details about the disappearance.
She was described as standing 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 114 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Antonia was last seen wearing a red shirt, black pants and white shoes.
Katarina is 1 foot 10 inches tall and weighs 11 pounds. She is bald with brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pink onesie, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Family members are concerned for the well-being of Antonia and Katrina. Authorities asked that anyone with information on their whereabouts contact the Sheriff's Department's Palmdale Station at 661-272-2400.
