ApeCoin DAO’s proposal to open ape-themed hotel in Thailand gets approved

ApeCoin DAO just got the thumbs up on their latest wild idea: an ape-themed hotel in the middle of Bangkok, Thailand. The proposal, known as AIP-448, is reportedly a real business move to generate income for ApeCoin DAO.

The community is on board with over 90% approval rate. Imagine staying in a hotel that’s all about ApeCoin. They’re talking rooms decorated with ape art, an ApeCoin-themed bar, and even a pool with ape vibes.

This hotel will be in a prime location in downtown Bangkok, making sure it catches the eye of tourists and locals alike. The goal is to boost the visibility of ApeCoin, enhance the BAYC IP, and, of course, bring in some serious cash for the DAO.

Here’s the deal: ApeCoin DAO will snag 50% of the revenue from these themed rooms for the first year.  It includes rooms themed around APE, BAYC, Otherside, ApeChain, and Mocaverse.

Every quarter, the funds will be sent back to the DAO Treasury, with the hotel handling all the local financial stuff. The hotel will accept ApeCoin as payment for rooms and bar tabs.

Yep, you can actually use your ApeCoin in the real world. Moreover, with themed exhibitions, bars, and rooms, it’s going to be a non-stop ad for ApeCoin. 

They’re even offering 50 free room nights to APE holders. First come, first served, of course. And APE community members can use the rooftop bar for free events and get free access to the MBA exhibition area.

To make sure only the true APE fans get these perks, they’ve got a strict verification process. You’ll need to prove you’re a member of the Apecoin Forum, register your ApeCoin wallet, and tweet about it. 

Here’s how it works: book your room through the hotel’s official channels, check-in with your Apecoin Forum membership and wallet showing a balance over 1 ApeCoin, and get verified by the front desk staff.

Then, tweet about your stay and tag Apecoin to get cashback. Every two months, the hotel will reportedly host events for ApeCoin members. These gatherings are all about strengthening the community.

The AIP team will organize and set up these events at no extra cost, with the timing based on how many people sign up. No extra investment is needed, so there won’t be any KPIs. For now.

The hotel will feature rooms themed around different parts of the APE community, like Otherside, BAYC, and Animoca Brands’ Mocaverse.

So, what’s the cost for all this? They’re asking for 410,000 APE or $353,010 from the ApeCoin Ecosystem Fund. To keep things transparent, they’ll manage these funds through a multisig wallet, with permissions granted to team members.

They’ll also publish a detailed report on how the money is spent every two months.
