APD: 1 dead after crash between vehicle, pedestrian near Austin's Airport
One person is dead after a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the Austin airport over the weekend, the Austin Police Department said in a news release Monday.
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person is dead after a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the Austin airport over the weekend, the Austin Police Department said in a news release Monday.
Shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the intersection of South U.S. 183 Highway southbound and Burleson Road for the crash, the release said.
The pedestrian, who was not identified Monday, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The driver, who was not injured, remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
This is now being investigated as Austin's 72nd fatal crash of 2024, according to police. The crash remained under investigation, and no other details were released Monday.
