The Mist, coached by Phil Handy, includes 2021 WNBA champion Courtney Vandersloot, two-time WNBA champion and Niles West product Jewell Loyd, Stewart, Sun guard DiJonai Carrington, Sparks rookie Rickea Jackson and Mystics rookie Aaliyah Edwards. At this point, two remaining roster openings in the 36-player field marked as "wildcard" spots. One is on the Lunar Owls and the other belongs to the Phantom. This means the coaches of each team, DJ Sackmann and Adam Harrington respectively, will be able to recruit a player. There has been a lot of speculation regarding 2024 Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark's participation. Unrivaled president Alex Bazzell confirmed on an episode of “Pablo Torre Finds Out” that the league has had discussions with Clark regarding her participation.
