An American Airlines flight was forced to return to Los Angeles International Airport and make an emergency landing early Thursday morning.
Flight 73 headed to Sydney, Australia, had taken off Wednesday night and was over the ocean when it needed to turn back.
The type of emergency was unclear but video taken at the airport early Thursday morning showed the plane had safely returned to LAX.
Flight 73 had left Los Angeles for the 15-hour flight at 10:30 p.m. but landed back at the airport at 1:50 a.m., according to Flight Aware.
No injuries were reported.
