Albany man pleads not guilty to stabbing police officer
An Albany man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder during his arraignment on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing a police officer in 2022. Albany County Court officials said Eric Frazier, 57, is facing several charges.
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- An Albany man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder during his arraignment on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing a police officer in 2022. Albany County Court officials said Eric Frazier, 57, is facing several charges.
Frazier is accused of stabbing an Albany police officer on June 20, 2022, on the 100 block of Franklin Street. Police said Frazier was being placed in custody for an outstanding arrest warrant when he allegedly pulled a knife out of his pocket and tried stabbing the officers.
Police said one of the officer's right arm was slashed severely by Frazier. After Frazier was shot in the right shoulder by another officer, police said he attempted to stab the injured officer in the head.
Frazier is being held in Albany County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again next month.
