Albany County Adopt-A-Family program kicks off Friday
The legislature partnered with the Albany County Department of Children, Youth and Families to give families essentials for the holidays.
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany County Legislature is carrying on an annual holiday tradition of spreading cheer and helping families in need on Friday. The legislature partnered with the Albany County Department of Children, Youth and Families to give families essentials for the holidays.
Gifts will be delivered to these families through the Adopt-A-Family program. This program helps families struggling to make ends meet by making sure they don't have to worry about how they will pay for gifts.
The kickoff event starts at noon on Friday at the Harold L Joyce Albany County Office Building on State Street. The gifts will be dropped off at South End Children's Cafe.
