QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Adirondack Winery in Queensbury raised over $22,000 during its Drink Pink breast cancer awareness fundraiser. These funds will benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks, an event organized by the American Cancer Society.
The fundraiser went from mid-September to the end of October. The money was raised through the sale of its Drink Pink Berry Breeze, a limited edition version of the mixed berry rosé, as well as wine, accessory, and raffle ticket sales.
100% of the raffle basket ticket proceeds were donated to the cause, and that alone raised $5,600. Over the past 12 years, Adirondack Winery has participated in this fundraiser and raised over $138,000 to donate to Making Strides.
