A turn to wetter weather to start December

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- As we close out another month with below normal rainfall, there are hopes we start our final chapter of 2024 with some soggier conditions.
We'll finish November today with temperatures in the low to mid-60s under sunshine and scattered clouds. Light winds and dry conditions will make for great weather to put out the holiday decor!
Sunday will be a touch warmer with afternoon highs in the upper 60s and mostly to partly sunny skies.
A much-needed, wetter weather pattern returns to the area next week with rain chances beginning Tuesday and continuing through Friday. A disturbance creeping north along the lower Texas coast will be responsible for the multi-day rain opportunities, but intensity looks limited.
Rainfall does not appear to be very heavy with most of us only favored for a few tenths of an inch. Those near and east of I-35 will be on the closer side to the one inch mark.
