SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- The San Jose Police Department (SJPD) announced on Monday the arrests of eight suspects from a "known and violent gang," including two juveniles, for committing several violent gang felonies from November 2023 to September 2024.
SJPD said the various crimes included "assault with a deadly weapon, carjacking, robbery and illegal firearm possession," and were gang motivated. The suspects targeted rival gang members, but also residents in the Loma Verde and Cadillac/Winchester neighborhoods, said investigators.
The SJPD Gang Investigations Unit (GIU) said it discovered the crimes were linked to eight primary suspects who all reside in San Jose. The individuals were located and arrested between Oct. 15 and 17, said officials.

During search warrants, detectives uncovered "various gang intelligence and indicia, live ammunition, and a fully automatic submachine gun," said SJPD.
San Jose police reported that the six adults were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail and the two juveniles were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for various violent felonies.
