6 injured, 3 taken to hospitals after auto-pedestrian crash on SH 71 near AUS
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to an area of SH 71 near the intersection with U.S. Highway 183 at 8:21 p.m. for a report of "multiple patients reportedly struck by a vehicle." Medics took a child with serious injuries and an adult with minor injuries to Dell Childrens with another adult going to St. David's South Medical Center with minor injuries. Three others, two adults and a child, were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Six people were injured, with three of them taken to hospitals, in an auto-pedestrian crash Sunday near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on State Highway 71.

Medics took a child with serious injuries and an adult with minor injuries to Dell Children's, with another adult going to St. David's South Medical Center with minor injuries. Three others, two adults and a child, were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The Austin Fire Department also responded to the scene.
It's the second multi-injury crash ATCEMS has responded to near AUS in the past two nights. Medics took five people to area hospitals as a result of a head-on collision on Burleson Road, south of AUS, Saturday night.
