1. Teamsters strike against Amazon in Castleton-on-Hudson

With less than a week until Christmas and so many using Amazon to receive and send gifts, Teamsters are striking at Amazon facilities across the country. It began Thursday morning, including at a facility in Castleton-on-Hudson.

2. Preliminary report on fatal Windham plane crash released

The National Transportation Safety Board has released the preliminary investigation report on the fatal Windham plane crash. The crash happened on November 24 around 6:18 p.m., leaving the commercial pilot, Seuk Kim, fatally injured.

3. Bankruptcy hearing to be held to finalize Saint Rose campus sale

A bankruptcy court hearing is scheduled to take place on Thursday to finalize the sale of the College of Saint Rose campus. The Pine Hills Land Authority won the auction with a $35 million bid.

4. Amsterdam PD investigating James Street shooting

Police are investigating a shooting in the city of Amsterdam. The shooting took place around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday on James Street.

5. Group surprises waitress with $1.5K tip

A local restaurant employee received a special surprise during her shift on Wednesday. A group of women went out to breakfast at The Bellevue Cafe in Rotterdam. They gave their waitress Stacy a card to thank her for her dedication. They also gave her a $1,500 tip.
